UV flatbed printer of unique design and high productivity
Based on impressive versatility and configurability of the F160 model, Qres Technologies presents the F160 HS, a high performance large format UV flatbed printer. In addition to unique design, wide range of options and special features, the F160 HS delivers superior print quality and productivity due to the latest generation of high quality print heads. Find the ideal solution developed to match your needs.
PRINT HEADS
The F160 HS is fitted with the latest generation of drop-on-demand inkjet print heads delivering higher productivity due to its high speed performance. Unparalleled sharpness and print fidelity is achieved using a unique wave form. Print resolutions up to 2880 dpi eliminate inkjet grain, producing smooth quartertones and photographic quality. The performance of the standard printer with a single row of CMYK can be effectively doubled by additional print head row. This configuration may be boosted by 4 more print heads for white, varnish or spot colors.
PRINT TABLE
The solid construction of the flatbed printer with a table size of 1,65 m x 2,55 m and maximum print height of up to 50 mm enables you to print on a wide range of rigid and flexible materials. The Bridge Lift option brings the extension of print height up to 300 mm.
INK
Qres Ink KM Premium is specially formulated for usage with Qres printers. This high quality inks is characterized by intensive colors, superior adhesion to wide variety of applications, such as flexible, semi-flexible, rigid and uneven media, together with long term exterior and interior performance.

SOFTWARE
Versatility and easy operation, together with an intuitive control system are the main benefits of the Qpro2 print software. In addition to displaying the basic system data including the print heads temperatures, UV lamps status, ink levels, you can track the status of the print job including number of printed copies or statistical data about ink consumption. Print job settings can be easily found in the print job database. Besides the Qpro2 print software, Caldera GrandRIP+ software, Colorgate Productionserver and ErgoSoft RIP software is available as optional.

BRIDGE LIFT OPTION
The outstanding feature of the F160 HS is the Bridge Lift option that allows an expanded variety of material and objects to be printed. The scan bridge is equipped with a lifting motorized mechanism that can raise the print carriage up to 250 mm of additional clearance. You gain a total print height of up to 300 mm. Imagine printing on boxes, furniture, product packaging, cookware, and many other industrial printing applications.

DOUBLE PRINT HEAD ROW
To double the production speed, the F160 HS may be equipped with additional extra row of print heads. It can be factory ordered or added as a field upgradable at any time to allow users to get started with a more economical model.
CRASH SENSORS
The crash sensors immediately stop the movement of the print carriage in the event that they come into contact with an obstacle. This will protect the print heads and UV lamps and other components in the print carriage from expensive damage, as well as preventing the carriage from plowing into the substrate material. The specially designed sensor mechanism will detect obstacles from side impact (i.e. items left on print table) or from bottom contact (i.e. substrate material which lifts up from the print table).

EXTRA COLORS
WHITE INK
White is required for printing with transparent media or as a base coat for coloured substrates. However, the heavy Titanium Dioxide pigments used will settle and separate from the fluid, so they most be constantly agitated to maintain a proper mixture. The white ink option includes special circulation features to prevent the ink from settling, including a magnetic stirrer in the main tank, and a pumping system which continuously circulates the ink through the system.
VARNISH AND OTHER SPOT COLORS
Varnish is used to add a glossy or protective top coat to prints. The varnish option includes a magnetic stirrer in the main tank to maintain proper mixture. Custom spot colours may also be ordered according to specific customer needs.

MULTI-ZONE VACUUM TABLE WITH EXTERNAL VACUUM PUMP
The vacuum system is divided into 4 separate vacuum zones that can be independently controlled and allow to adjust the vacuum according to the type or size of the print substrate. The F160 HS is equipped with an external vacuum connection. You can choose high or medium power vacuum turbine, or the configuration without the pump, and locate it inside or outside the print room.
ADJUSTABLE CURING
The UV curing lamp power can be continuously adjusted from 40 – 100%. The optimum setting depends on the ink type, print mode, and substrate material. Low power settings are recommended for heat sensitive media such as light density plastics or for pin curing inks. High power settings are needed for white ink and high speed print modes. Adjusting the power is instantaneous using simple intuitive software controls in the Qpro operating software.
LAMP SHUTTERS
Each lamp assembly is equipped with an automatic electro-mechanical shutter mechanism to quickly open and close the UV radiation. This allows the curing to be controlled for each pass of the carriage. Normally, the shutter remains open all the time, and the trailing lamp cures the ink almost instantly after the ink has been jetted. However, the shutter for the trailing lamp can remain closed, and only opened during the return pass, to introduce a delay in the curing which allows the ink to spread and flow over the surface to produce a glossier finish. The leading lamp may also be closed on each pass to reduce the heat load on the substrate.
ANTI-STATIC CONTROL
The carriage includes an anti-static bar which neutralizes the build up of static on the printing substrate as it scans back and forth. Static electricity can repel the ink drops and degrade the print sharpness and integrity.
OPEN CLEANING STATION AND AUTOMATIC PURGING
The print head cleaning station is designed with a purge tray which pushes forward to allow unobstructed access to the print heads for cleaning. An inspection light is activated when the tray is opened to illuminate the print head nozzles. When the tray is closed, the automatic purging system takes over and periodically jets a small burst of ink from the print heads to keep them operating at peak performance. The ink mist from the automatic purging is extracted with a ventilation fan through a filter which can be easily changed.
VERTICAL TIP TRANSPORT
The F160 HS has been designed with a special transport carrier that allows the machine base to be tipped on its side so that it can pass through a normal door opening during installation. Once the transport dollies are secured, and the printer is lifted up and tipped on its side, the printer can be easily rolled through doorways and corridors to reach its final destination.
